mRNA Technology Conference - Purilogics by Donaldson Presenting Jinxiang Zhou, April 22 2024 at 11:40am
In this presentation, Purilogics by Donaldson introduces the concept of using high-performance membrane chromatography technologies to rapidly purify SC pDNA and mRNA. We will illustrate purifying SC pDNA by capture chromatography using Purexa™ NAEX Plus, a weak anion chromatography membrane, followed by a polishing step using Purexa™ MCP, a hydrophobic interaction chromatography membrane that has superior and consistent capability to separate SC pDNA from open circular pDNA. We will illustrate purifying mRNA using Purexa™ OdT, an affinity capture chromatography membrane targeting the Poly A tails in mRNA.
On Demand Webinar on mRNA Purification from Purilogics by Donaldson
Listen to company co-founder, Jin Zhou on how Purexa™ NAEX+ and MCP demonstrates fast and efficient purification of super coiled DNA, as well as how Purexa™ OdT shows superior performance in mRNA/IVT Purification. Purilogics products provide solutions and are tailored for high-throughput nucleic acid purification. Listen to this webinar to learn how to increase mRNA purification production with novel membrane chromatography.

High throughput purification of monoclonal recombinant antibodies using a Protein-A coated membrane plate system
Purilogics’ Jinxiang Zhou recently co-authored an article alongside Camila Leal-Lopes, Sara D’Angelo, Andre A.R. Teixeira, Andrew R.M Bradbury, Fortunato Ferrara, and M. Frank Erasmus – the Head of Bioinformatics at Specifica, Inc. We are excited to announce that this article has been published in the New Biotechnology Journal: High throughput purification of monoclonal recombinant antibodies using a Protein-A coated membrane plate system.
A Summary of Non-Viral Gene Therapy Approaches—Booknotes from a Review Paper
Gene therapy involves the manipulation of gene expression pathways in cells utilized in the treatment of both genetic and pathological diseases. The delivery of genetic-based material, such as RNA or DNA, to cells modifies their expression patterns.
A Vision of Future Gene Therapy: Non-Viral Nanovectors
Recent developments in research have highlighted the potential of non-viral nanoparticles as vectors in gene therapy. Gene therapy typically refers to the use of nucleic acids, such as plasmids and siRNA, to genetically modify patient’s cells.1 Traditionally, viral vectors have been pursued as gene delivery vehicles, but a variety of risks and problems associated with them have limited their large-scale use clinically.
What Do High-Throughput Purification Tools Mean to Upstream Antibody Scientists?
Recent developments have made small-scale antibody expression much easier. Upstream scientists can express tens or hundreds of antibodies in parallel. Analysis of purified samples at early stage will likely improve long-term success rate because there will be a reduction in interference of impurities.

A Powerful Purification Platform Technology We Did Not Talk About: Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography
Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) separates molecules based on differences in their hydrophobicity. It is an important technique in both sample analysis and preparative scale purification…
How Much Do You Know About mRNA Impurities?
mRNA impurities need to be removed to achieve high potency and safety throughout the production process. mRNA production begins with plasmid DNA, which then needs to be linearized.
What Differentiates Us from Other Membrane Chromatography Products
Purilogics offers a wide variety of differentiated products for your purification needs. Here are some highlights on the uniqueness of our membrane chromatography products:..
Purexa™ OdT mRNA Affinity Membrane Product Update

Simple Alternatives to Biologics Sample Purification via FPLC
Fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) is a common purification technique used widely in various biologics preparation. Often, we complain how slow chromatography columns are, but we have ignored that FPLC itself can cause more trouble than it is worth.
mRNA Size — An Important Factor You Cannot Ignore
Over the past 18 months, there has been a sharp rise in interest concerning the development of mRNA-based therapies, as highlighted by the FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization and subsequent approval of one of two novel SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines.
Purexa™ Membranes Vs. Magnetic Beads — More Than Faster Speed
A key focus of Purilogics is to emphasize the drastic decrease in processing time when using our membranes for biologics purification…
Why is Membrane Chromatography Faster Than Resin Chromatography?
